PROJECTS

MZ RACEBIKE

for the Moto2 World Championship

Tasks and area of responsibility:
Major parts of design and development of the racebike for the Moto2 World Championship.
The Moto2 is the second highest class in motorcycle sports world wide.

We have been working in an international team, including and supporting factory rider Anthony West.
Later Maximilian Näther, owner of ZOOM designagency, has become factories head of design.

Build up of the bike at the factories clay and racing workshop. The bike has been completed in a very short amount of time under maximum time pressure.

Pictures of the bike in action. Best result was a solid 10th place. Enjoy!

Parallel to the racing activities all over the world, parts had to be constantly developed to keep the bike competitive.
On a world championship bike, most parts are build exclusively. Holders, distance keepers, mounts, etc.
Here are some pictures of the linkage system we developed using CAD and CNC technology. There was a variety of different sizes and many different setup possibilities. These have been used in the races later.
